system recovery hp?

i have tried everything to remove malware from my computer but nothing
seems to work. so i figured i would just completely clean my computer
and do a system recovery to get it back to the factory settings but i
cant find a system recovery disk. i have a few questions:

is it possible that i never received a disk and the recovery options
were preinstalled?

and how do i find out if my computer has preinstalled recovery
options?

any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!

Restart your computer. Look for a message prior to Windows loading
telling you which "F" key to hit.

Check here for full instructions:

Re: system recovery hp?

HP has a recovery partition on drive D (usually). You are given a notice
that you can create recovery disks when you first turn on the computer after
purchase. Did you do so? If not, the option still resides within the
dedicated HP folders in startup/All Programs.

When you create these recovery DVD's (it takes about 3 DVD's) you are
actually copying the information from Drive D to the DVD's. You can only do
this one time (ask HP why they do not allow multiple sets to be created)!

If you have not deleted/corrupted Drive D you can perform a recovery by
pressing F11 when instructed during the initial boot process.
