IE 7 AND 8 problem

New system, Vista Ultimate x64.

Started with IE7, Update forced IE8 onto the system.

7 was fine, but 8 screwed some things up, and there
is ONE thing left that I can't fix.

Downgraded back to IE7, but the address bar is still
missing, and I can't find a way to get it back.

Anyone have any ideas??

Hi,

Right click the headers area and make sure the menu bar is checked. If it
is, then uncheck the option to lock the toolbars. Now begin moving the
others around as one of them is likely covering the menu bar. Same applies
to IE8 (which is optional, not forced - simply select to hide the update if
you don't want it).

Re: IE 7 AND 8 problem

I love IE8, the many ways in which people experience computer problems amaze
me, why am I never affected?

Nope, no luck there, still no address bar. But thanks.

The Menu bar is there, just no address bar.

Re: IE 7 AND 8 problem

Did you do as Rick Rogers posted. The address bar is there but it is probably hiding
under something or it is being covered by something. Follow the direction that was
posted to you by R Rogers

My idea would be to use Firefox.
