| Re: Vista Home Premium RTM Backup your email, if that is all that is important. It is very easy. Outlook uses a folder called a .pst to store email find it and save it or export it using outlook. If you use outlook express you are out of luck I think, I have not tried windows mail yet. | Re: Vista Home Premium RTM My 30 day trial is up and I am unable to use Vista RTM, so backing up the emiail is out of the question. I bought an OEM copy of Vista this morning from Newegg.com. I suppose it won't ship till the 30th but them I will prolly do a fresh install. I thought I could just get it activated online, but am afraid it's too late for it. | Re: Vista Home Premium RTM There is no such file in Vista. Vista has Microsoft Mail, NOT Outlook Express, so no such .pst file. I have Knoppix. I have Knoppix.[/color] ..pst is for Outlook, not Outlook Express. Outlook Express has .dbx files. Are you saying that Windows Mail doesn't have a way to back up or is it that you just don't know how to do it? And, if the latter, what in the world are you doing being a beta tester if you don't know that and the difference between Outlook and Outlook Express' message stores?
