| Is Vista SP-2 relevant? I went from the original Vista to Vista SP-1 and noticed considerable improvements. My system is very stable now. Is there a compelling reason to upgrade to SP-2? I don't need any Bluetooth, touchpad, Warp Drive, ray gun, or other out-of-world feature enhancements since my system is relatively simple. I always install Windows Updates (other than the SP-2 that's offered daily). I also don't feel there are any additional security features in SP-2, unless I'm mistaken. Comments? Is anyone there just happy with SP-1 and avoiding the possible problems with SP-2 installation? Or am I missing out on something really important? Thanks. EW |

Its a nice OS but so is the Vista. |

Thanks.[/color] SP2 has been more or less benign. In my case, it cut my boot times (power-on to login prompt) from roughly 2:15-2:30 to 1:05-1:15. Any other changes seem to be more subtle. -- If there is a no_junk in my address, please REMOVE it before replying! All junk mail senders will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!! I think I'll just stay with SP-1 and be happy with my current system stability. EW |
