Mark Conrad is Mental!

Can anybody tell me please, why Mark Conrad comes in here, a Microsoft Vista
forum and tries to promote the "Dragon Naturally Speaking" speech
recognition software program?

He has been doing this for two years now, does anybody know why???

The real thing we should be asking: Does it work in Ubuntu?

:)

Naw, Andy/Robin/Michael or whatever sock-puppet
name he is using now has already tried to grok Dragon,
it is beyond his feeble mental capabilities.

I really feel sorry for the guy.

Sad situation, really.

I beg your pardon, I am certainly not Andy T and I do not need to hide
behind a false name.

A false name like "Mark Conrad". You will be telling me next that is your
real name, which I doubt it is, so it is you who I feel sorry for.

Mental (adjective)

1) Of or relating to the mind.
Carried out by or taking place in the mind:
"a quick mental calculation"

hmm, that is the very first definition in my dictionary.

Remind me to thank Andy for calling me "mental".

I usta be judge-mental, but the pay was poor,
so now I am just plain mental.

When you call someone mental, I assume you normally mean definition 2a,
which describes half the posters in this forum.

Yes, screwy English language, multiple conflicting definitions
of the same word.

I have heard some take offense at the mildest words, when
no offense was intended by the original poster.

Since English has far more words than any other language, I suspect it has
far fewer conflicting definitions.
The original languages ie ancient Egyptian used symbols with many meanings.
Regardless of the language, surely the intent of many written messages has
been lost.
The more text is written, the easier it should be to identify the intended
meaning of any particular section from context.
Sarcasm is frequently lost. Calling someone an Einstein could mean they're
brilliant, or they're dumber than average.

I totally agree with you Eric.

The English language, UK in particular, is among the most complex and
diverse of them all, so it is hardly surprising that some individuals, this
one for example is a prize candidate, obviously does not have the
intelligence to grasp the complexities of the English language.

BTW

His French is not much better.
