New window opening

When I open up a new window, it normally opens up at less than a full
screen. Is there an option for having the new window open up as a full
(maximize) screen?

Thanks,

Len Urban

Right click on the shortcut icon and select "Properties"

Just below centre there should be an item labelled "Run" with a drop
down menu. Click on the arrow head at right end and select "Maximised"

Click "OK"

This should work for MOST programs but you might find some for which
is does not work

Re: New window opening

Thanks for the help:

It worked for short cuts on my desk top to internal programs, however, there
was no run option for short cuts to web sites.

Thanks again,

Len Urban

There won't be.

You could replace the link by "iexplore <the url>" instead of just "<the
url>". Then you could do it.

There are a couple of things you could try.

Firstly, get rid of all the shortcuts to web sites and recreate them
by creating a shortcut to Internet Explorer itself. Then right click
on it and select "Properties" and in the box labelled "Target" you
should see:-

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

Edit this to include the name of the web site you wish the shortcut to
go to at the end of the line, leaving a space between the .exe" and
the web site address. e.g. http://www.website.com

Now set the "Run:" line to "Maximised"

Then rename the shortcut to the name of the web site.

Repeat the process for every shortcut you want.

Secondly, you could leave all the shortcuts as they are and use a free
program called "IE New Window Maximiser" available from:-

http://www.jiisoft.com/iemaximizer/Default.aspx

When this is running, it will cause all IE windows to be maximised
automatically.

BUT!! ........... be aware that some web sites are coded to open a
window to a certain size and this will probably override the above tow
methods.

full screen.

Thanks for your help.
