They also ignore you in the Vista Speech section of the KnowBrainer forum, where you tried to obligate them to answer scores of questions you were too lazy to research for yourself. Like I posted, you are incapable of brevity. Mark- |

See, with me guiding you, you are now showing a little bit of improvement. But you really should do something about your hateful attitude towards your betters, who are guiding you. That bulging artery in your neck, your red face, the foaming at your mouth, they all contribute to stress, which makes for your premature aging. Now back to the subject of this thread, namely speech recognition. You mentioned how great you thought it was that Vista Speech had a feature called "numbers", to assist in correcting mistakes where there is more than one instance of a word needing correction. I admit there is a certain glitz to that feature, after all it sucks in new people to speech recognition technology. Unfortunately, "numbers" has little value in the real world. For example, even today a doctor does not have the time to fiddle around with correcting text. He delegates that chore to a member of his staff. Staff member plays back the original audio, checking the text. If the text does not match the doctors original audio, staff member corrects the text with his keyboard. No "numbers" feature even used. BTW, the toy Vista Speech app does not even let the user save the original audio record, so no correction by a staff member is even possible! Mark- |

You must pay more attention to detail, then you might learn a bit. The actual subject of this thread is speech recognition and andy t. You should know this, YOU WROTE IT! More proof of your failing memory. I see the sanatorium you are in have their work cut out. Seeing as the actual name of this thread is called speech recognition and andy t and my name is mentioned, I can honestly say that I am completely happy with WSR and do not need the use of overpriced software such as DNS proving you do not need to spend lots of money on a speech app when in this case, the other will do exactly the same and in some cases more! > You mentioned how great you thought it was that... < SNIP the rest of your OT drivel > This time I took your advice, I did not bother to read the rest of your post. I knew what was coming, the same OT drivel you have been spouting for the last two years! Change the record, heard it all before and still you do not convince anybody of your Bullsh*t! The floor is yours. My time is precious, yours is obviously not! Oh, and by *the floor is yours*, I mean keep the sanatorium floors clean! andy t. |

Paranoid as you are, you need guidance, in fact I suggest you get some professional mental help, as you appear to be heading for a mental breakdown. I will do some emergency mentoring, you poor soul. I said the subject of this thread is speech recognition. You obviously are having trouble understanding the simple word "the" - - - blinded as you are by your extreme paranoia. the (adjective) 1. denoting one or more people or things already mentioned or assumed to be common knowledge: what's the matter? call the doctor the phone rang Andy, you poor crazed soul, I will spell it out for you. ONE OR MORE THINGS... - - - and - - - ONE OR MORE THINGS ALREADY MENTIONED Now, wasn't that easy? As in the dictionary definition, NO ONE is saying that when a person says: CALL THE DOCTOR - - - ...that there is ONLY one doctor, you poor crazed paranoid soul. > ...and do not need the use of overpriced software such as DNS Yet another sure sign of your extreme paranoia, as my post had *NO* mention whatever of "DNS". My actual post is below my signature here, so you can see for yourself. > This time I took your advice...<clip nonsense>... No you did not, you never have, that is your problem. Mark- -- Mark Conrad's entire post, as referred to by the crazed "andy t" - - - Poor soul imagines that "DNS" is mentioned, which of course there was absolutely *NO* reference to DNS in my post, very easy to see that by observing the post below. The actual speech app I was referring to in the following post was "MacSpeech Dictate 1.5" which is a COMPETITOR to DNS. To spell it out for paranoid Andy, if MacSpeech had their way, there would be no DNS. Yet somehow, in Andy's twisted mind, he still thinks I was promoting DNS in the following post. Go figure.
