OPSnnnn.tmp Files (1,300+) 0 kb Size In Local\Temp--What & Why?

Vista 64-bit... I have to start somewhere though this isn't likely a Vista
concern. I recently changed wireless routers from Netgear to Linksys,
uninstalled and reinstalled Open Office Writer, and made some other various
adjustments. Unfortunately I've discovered in 'name'\AppData\Local\Temp
over 1,300 (and counting) 0 kb files named 'OPSnnnn.tmp'. 'nnnn' appears to
be an incrementing hexadecimal number. My first and only so far Google
attempt failed to learn anything of these files nature. Disk Cleanup didn't
touch them. I can easily manually delete them but over a couple days time
or unknown reason they reappear. Can anyone point me in any direction about
this/these files? Thank you.

I have confirmed that these files are produced by Linksys's Network Magic
router program. I've removed the software and the files no longer
appear--no more 1,500+ files. What luck.
