Don't know, but it will surely be released after Windows 7. Windows 7 is
supposed to be released in October.

Never. Windows 7 will be Microsoft's last operating system. Office 10
will be their last office suite. Then they will go the way of Enron,
Pan Am, TWA, et al as Linux takes over with cloud computing.

The answer you should be looking for is Windows. What is the best OS to
use for real work? Windows XP or Windows 7.

Ubuntu is for geeks who want to play around with an INFERIOR OS and

I want to know when Windows 8 is coming out, so I can start budgeting for my
next PC. I had Windows ME on my last PC at home and upgraded straight to
Vista, so I'll likely skip over Windows 7 and save another $100+.
They release a new OS about every 3 years. I buy a new OS with my new
machines every 6+ years. If Obama gives me some of that stimulus money for
it I might buy a second machine next year.

Windows 8 is slated for RTM on September 12, 2012.
However, the world will end on May 11, 2012.
So you may as well buy Windows 7 and enjoy it while you still can.

First of all if you need to save $100 over the next 3 years then you
have a bigger problem than computers. I would suggest going to a trade
school or getting a job. If you get a job and put away $2.77 a month,
in 3 years you will have saved $100.
