Will what delete what partition? Extending a partition in XP requires 3rd party software. To extend it you need unallocated space to extend it into. Always have a full and complete backup of important data. -- Rock [MVP - User/Shell] |

As an addendum Vista has tools to change partition sizes non destructively. -- Rock [MVP - User/Shell] |

| Re: extending a partiton Partitions in Vista can only be extended if the available space is located to the right of the partition to be extended. If such is space is located to the left, then it cannot be added. I believe you can do it from a command prompt with the Diskpart command. -- Rock [MVP - User/Shell] |
