| Re: Hp Laptop running slow We joked about how our team consisted of some of the best IT Brains in the Universe but could not get Vista to run on an HP Pavilion dv2000. We spent over two days on this. One of the guys discovered that the BIOS didn't match the model and after updating the SATA controller driver from the correct model, Vista and all it's associated updates etc ran perfectly. So check your BIOS and make sure the driver you load are for the correct model. And find the guy from HP who is putting all the dv2000 stickers on the wrong model and tell him I'd like to have a quiet word with him. |
