Any fix for the sound on this sound card (Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit) that is
running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit OS.
I have tried several installs and went to Creatives' web site and downloaded
a couple of different downloads, but it appears I am having issues. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Download the Creative file dated 12/29/06 for Windows Vista 32-bit,
then right-click on that file, select "run as administrator" to install.

When you DL the file, you can right click it and "Run as Administrator".
That should be able to work around some issues you may be having. If that
doesn't work, let us know. As far as I know, the SBLive is supported and
should work fine. I am using an SB X-Fi with no issues, and others are using
the Audigy and Live!.

If this is the Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit EXTERNAL.
then there are no Vista drivers and the ones for the
regular SBL! 24-bit will not work.

I did what you said, but it told me that (The windows OS running on this
computer is not supported by this product. This install will exit.
I have Windows Vista (TM) RC1 Build 5600.
My Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit is internal. Not on the motherboard.
Thanks for your help. Any other suggestions would help.

Same problem down here with my internal SB 24-bit card on Vista x64.
Drivers in Creativelabs site:

are dated November 2005.
The only way I can use them is by hitting F8 during boot and opting for
disabling the need of signed drivers (or something like that).
That gives me only 2 channel sound.
I keep checking every day but still no updates.

I have an onboard Live24 (MSI K8N Neo4/SLI) and also only get 2 sound channels using the F8 choice and the 32/64bit Creative drivers. Hey at least I have sound, right! ughhh!!!

OK Have a soundblaster live Audigy SE 3 dl's at site for creative
labs..downloaded all of em tried to install usin run as admin...no sound
still...3 weeks now getting very frustrated...even bought ner card thinkin
old one was bad now what?
