| WINDOWS Explorer and viewing Network Hi, Desktop using Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit (but also used to occur on my 32-bit laptop before I installed Windows 7 RC - very good by the way!) If I open Windows Explorer and select 'Network' in the left-hand pane Explorer often finds nothing and just endlessly searches. The network is working correctly and I can view the mapped network drives on my NAS and see my desktop from my laptop an vice versa. Any suggestions? Regards AC |

| Re: WINDOWS Explorer and viewing Network Networking may not be set up properly on the computer unable to see itself or others on the network. On the other hand, peer to peer network protocols are so poor in Windows that this not infrequently occurs when everything is working properly and set up properly and worked yesterday although nothing has changed. |

NAS folders mapped as network drives are visible on teh desktop and I can move files to/from them. All is working fine and has done for years. It's simply that the Vista Ultimate 64-bit desktop sometimes will not display network locations. AC |
