Re: Windows 7?

I tried the RC of windows 7 and if installs flawlessly and runs all my
programs perfectly.

Just one bug and that is I can't shut the machine down. No matter how I try
to shut the machine on it just restarts. So I took it off the machine and
put Vista on it with service pack 2 and it is running just fine. The machine
shuts down properly with Vista or XP but I can't get it to shut down with
windows 7.

....or whether the new operating system runs more reliably and
faster.

I am upgrading from Windows XP, I skipped Vista, so now probably
is the time (especially considering the preorder price).
