SP2 - RTM or RC

I thought I installed RTM version of SP2 but "Window Vista(TM)
Evaluation copy. Build 6002" is still displayed on the desktop. The list
of Installed Updates include Service Pack of Microsoft
Windows(KB948465). Is KB948465 not yet finalized version of the SP2?

SP2 for Vista has been Gold since May 26 . You will need to uninstall your Beta
version before attempting to install the final SP2 for Vista

Do you mean the KB948465 is not Gold? There is still only one SP2
listed at Technet download website and that is what I installed. The
following is the name of the service pack as listed at the site:

Windows Vista Serve Pack 2 and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 for
all edition(x86,x64, i64) - DVD (English, French, German, Japanese,
Spanish) - 04-30-2009 1,376.79(MB)

Is there any particular reason you are wanting to download the whole
thing rather than using Windows Updates?

I do not mean that I want to whole thing or not: My puzzle is that the
list of installed updates includes KB948465 and yet a notice of
"Evaluation copy. . . " is still shown on the desktop.

I uninstalled KB948465 and re-installed it, then the "Evaluation copy .
.. . " disappeared.

Re: SP2 - RTM or RC

The Download From http://technet.microsoft.com Should Be RTM. If Not You
Should Call Microsoft At 1-800-MICROSOFT And Report The Bug 2Them So That
They Can Fix The Problem A.S.A.P.
