Anyword on VM for Windows 7 especially basic versions?

Has MSFT provided any new info? The last I heard is MSFT would
probably offer VM emulation for XP on higher end versions of Windows
7. Any word on the Home versions of Windows 7? Any idea when it may
start shipping? I wonder if MSFT will offer a free upgrade for those
who do not want Vitsa?

Thanks.

The functionailty you are referring to is Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP

This will only be available in Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate,
and Windows 7 Enterprise.

The Betas of these technologies are available now for use on the Release

It is currently scheduled to some some time soon after the release of
Windows 7 as a free download for Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate,
and Windows 7 Enterprise only.

Please be more specific by what you mean about "free upgrades"

By the way please post Windows 7 questions to the Windows 7 support forums
