| Re: Turning off nvidia Geforce 7300 in Vista If you uninstall NVIDIA drivers, upon reboot Vista will automatically reinstall the original Microsoft supplied NVIDIA driver....you won't lose your display. The latest NVIDIA drivers work extremely well with Vista: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_97.46.html -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "A.D Raja" wrote: Does anyone know if its possible top disable or uninstall nvidia geforce 7300 in vista without losing the display? i want to return my system display to what it looks like under normal Vista without nvidia. thanks |

| Re: Turning off nvidia Geforce 7300 in Vista thanks for the input. i did try disabling nvidia in device manager and on reboot, the display went very plain and it didnt look like Aero was working either. I turned nvidia back on and it is definitely better than the plain display without nvidia but i still see that nvidia made some changes to my display after i opened the nvidia control panel the first time. Now, even if i hit Restore Default, it still doesnt go back to exactly how it was before. O well. Am i supposed to download any updates to this driver? thanks Adnan.
