trying to upgrade for 5 weeks !

I purchased an Upgrade Redemption Form with a form number for Vista. I have
been trying for 3 weeks at least. I am very angry at how difficult this
process is.

I have a custom made computer....I have already paid for the upgrade! I have
called Microsoft and keep getting the wrong information or information that
leads me to another form that doesn't allow me to finish the process, or asks
for my computer manufacturer, or asks me to pay for the upgrade.

I WANT TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. WHY CAN'T I JUST MAIL IN THE **** FORM?

From whom did you purchase the upgrade redemption form? Typically those are
provided through PC manufacturers and you would redeem the form through the
same PC manufacturer.

Re: trying to upgrade for 5 weeks !

Please wait until January 30th to fill out and submit the form online.
Microsoft is not shipping the Vista upgrade until after Jan. 30th.

Chip,

Can you be more specific as you how you "purchased an Upgrade
Redemption Form with a form number for Vista"
The form is supplied by the OEM (that is the system builder) with a
compliant system.
Did you actually purchase a copy of Windows XP OEM that included the
coupon/form from a distributor and are now trying to redeem an Express
Upgrade?

THEN WHY DOESN'T THE WEBSITE OR SOMEONE SAY THAT, INSTEAD OF HAVING ME GO
THROUGH ALL THIS FRUSTRATION AND WASTED TIME? I HAVE A REDEMPTION FORM
NUMBER, I JUST WANT TO MAIL IT IN OR FINISH THE PROCESS.

sucess....FINALLY

AFTER YET ANOTHER PHONE CALL, A MICROSOFT REP WAS ABLE TO FINISH THE PROCESS
FOR ME ON THE TELEPHONE. I NOW HAVE AN ORDER CONFIRMATION NUMBER AND CAN MAIL
IN MY REDEMPTION FORM.

THIS IS CONTRARY TO THE RESPONSE YOU JUST GAVE ME.
