Fax for Windows 7?

They seem to have taken it out of Vista Premium...are they putting it back
for 7? Why did they take it out of Vista Home/Premium? It was a nice
addition to XP. That was kind of stooopid in my opinion!

It is in the RC1 version of Windows 7.
Check programs and Features/Turn Windows features on an off/Print and
Document Service/Windows Fax and Scan.

Tell that to the hundreds of people that require me to send a copy of
the "Bill" via fax every month. I don't see it going away any time soon.

Nor do I. The people who make fax modems and fax machines don't see it
going away anytime soon either.

There's a 3 page article I want to share with a friend. We both have faxes
in our computer...and I have a scanner to scan the article. How should I get
said article to my friend?

Assuming they have a program to open up that file I just sent, yes that
would work. But I'd just as soon as use a fax.

Save it as a .jpg and it's highly likely they can open it. If you want
to fax it to your friend, open the scanned file and choose the print
icon and then choose your fax instead of your printer from the drop down
menu.
