Windows Explorer Tool Bar in Vista 32

I have recently used VMware to set up a host (Vista 64 bit) and a guest
(Vista 32 bit) on my desktop. When opening Windows Explorer from the
guest, that portion of the tool bar immediately above "Organize View
Burn" does not appear (i.e., "File Edit Tools Help"). I want to map a
network drive, and I believe that this can be accomplished from the Tools
drop-down menu. I don't see any icons whereby I can expand the display.
What am I overlooking?
