Those somethings'll get ya every time.

What did your computer say precisely? What was the error message. That
would help. I'd go to the pc maker's website and also see how you can test
the hd. When you're home run chkdsk again this way. Before you do, run
this cmd at the cmd prompt. Type cmd in the search box above the start
button and when it pops up>rt. click>run as admin.

At the cmd prompt type: fsutil dirty query c:\ or use the letter of the
drive your Windows is on.

When it asks if you want to run chkdsk, if it does, type in y>then enter.

Then at the cmd prompt type chkdsk /r with a space between the k and the
slash. When it asks if you want to run at next boot y/n type in y>then
enter.
