synchro offline files & folders very slow

Hi evryone
I have a laptop with Vista Business SP1, in a AD domain with SBS 2003.
When i syncronize the offline files it's very very slow.
for a short file or folder the synchro make 1 hour.
I have another laptop with Win XP Pro SP3 on the same domain, i use the
offline files and it's word well.
Why it's very slow with Vista

There some space on my hard drive (more than 1/4 space free of the hard drive)

If someone have an idea??

Thankx

Re: synchro offline files & folders very slow

What happens if you manually copy the files, is it slow as well?

Both computes are on the same local network?

What Service Pack level is SBS 2003 at?

Re: synchro offline files & folders very slow

Hi Malcolm and thankx for your reply,

If i copy the files, it's work well and fast.
The other computer (Win XP) are on the same network.
The SBS 2003 have the SP2 installed.

I don't know why it so slow when i ask a synchro with this laptop.
It work well, Office open very fast, IE and other program too.
It' only the synchro ??

If you have an idea?

Re: synchro offline files & folders very slow

There are a number of changes to offline files in Vista - maybe this will
give some troubleshooting ideas understanding the differences

The only other issue I'm aware of for Windows Vista & Slow offline sync was
fixed in Service Pack 1 (re: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934202/en-us)

regards,

Malcolm.

Re: synchro offline files & folders very slow

I have instal the SP1 on this Vista.

I check the link bellow.
I hope it's help me to solve my little problem.
Maybe it's possible that the laptop have a problem, you know it's a sony Vaio!
And Sony is a good manufacturer for play station, but for the computers,
it's another story...

Bye.
