Mediaplayer no video for AVI

Hi
Is this a Vista issue? None of my vista machines can display video for any
AVI?

Are you sure they aren't Xvid? If they are you need to d/l the codec.

Re: Mediaplayer no video for AVI

AVI files can have multiple codecs. You need to know what codec the file is
and ensure it is installed on your machine. It is not a Vista issue.

If you can't figure out what codec to use try

VLC player which doesn't require downloading codecs and can play most types
of media files.

If you prefer to use Windows Media Player try downloading a codec pack such
as K-Lite Codec pack

However please note that some codecs can contain malware, ensure you have an
up-to-date virus scanner.

regards,

Malcolm.
