| Start Menu I have just installed Vista Business 64 bit. I am noticing something that I had not had with Vista Home Premium. Some of the program listings when I click START/ALL PROGRAMS are highlighted in Yellow. I don't notice any significant pattern to this, but some are highlighted...some are not. It's driving me crazy. Can anyone please assist with what this means, and how I get rid of it ? Thanks. |

On Windows 7 it's: Right-click Start orb > Properties > Start menu > Customize > clear the 'Highlight newly installed programs'. |

| Re: Start Menu For the past 3 versions of Windows, newly Installed programs are highlighted so that the neophyte computer user can easily find that which he just installed. -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "GJB" <GJB@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A5289071-2042-42CC-8B08-7B9B01341F4A@microsoft.com...[color=blue] >I have just installed Vista Business 64 bit.
