Creation of Bad Block on Hard Disk

I want to create some sectors on hard as BAD BLOCKS. Can anybody explain. I have found a link at

But I could not comprehend it fully about how to create it.

Bad blocks are created naturally via a defect on the drives surface.

Why would you want to CREATE one?

If bad blocks already exist, which I think you are alluding to, just run chkdsk from a command prompt window. Bad blocks/sectors will show up in the report. These block are not usable and further data corruption is possible as the problem can snowball into more bad blocks.

At the first sign of bad blocks you should be planning upon replacing the hard drive!
