I usually happen to take a bump in only a few hours as rude, but now I also see that your frustration level was, with good cause, extreme. Perhaps, at least, the resulting extra bump was worth your annoyance? Anyway, I'm sorry to have tweaked you at a bad moment... I see that Malke and Charlie Tame share an idea that might be helpful to you, and it came only 13 or 14 hours after your first post - which is pretty good time on this resource which is, after all, manned by volunteer hobbyists. (BTW, I have read a remark by Malke which seemed to me to imply that "manned" has to be taken metaphorically.) Were you able to try a new video card since their posts? -- Gene E. Can you get diagnostics (from the manufacturers) for your motherboard and for your video card? Also run RAM diagnostics (although I've had poor luck with RAM tests; YMMV). -- Gene E.
