| Re: 32bit ultimate to 64bit ultimate??? No, even the new Windows (Windows 7) still requires a fresh install if migrating from 32 bits to 64 bits. | Re: 32bit ultimate to 64bit ultimate??? Hi Alice, There is no upgrade path from 32 to 64 bit installations, it requires a clean installation. It does not matter whether you are going from Vista to Vista, or XP to Vista, or Vista to Win7. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Alice" <babyalicep@cox.net> wrote in message news:4A3A3CC8-09CF-4B50-BA36-16528FE3B8CE@microsoft.com... > is ther any way to upgrade 32bit to 64 bit??? or o i have to wait for a > new windows??? > |

How old is the machine and the printers etc that you have with it? It's not a bad idea but there can be extra issues you need to know about first. |

The only way to get 64-bit Windows is to install it cleanly. > or o i have to wait for a new > windows??? Sorry, I don't understand that part of your sentence. Waiting for a new version isn't an issue in this regard at all. By the way, why do you want a 64-bit version? -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup |
