Cost of Upgrade to Windows 7?

Does anyone know how much I should expect to pay to upgrade from Vista Home
Premium to Windows 7, once it's released?

Yes, the price set by MS and retailers just prior to it hitting the
shelves..

Nothing has been announced yet. They haven't even released an RC1 yet.

Whatever it is it will be far more than it is worth for Vista SP3.

Nope, but bet it would be more than I will pay.

The best part of Win 7, is that just before it is released all the Vista
loaded machines go on sale, and Linux loads good on them. Great hardware,
just lousy OS, but that can be fixed. So discount PCs for Linux users as
the PCs are not Win 7 compliant.

When is Win 7 coming out so I can time my next PC purchase?

Who are you talking to and about what?

Please note:
This is NOT a chat room and although you think you are posting to a forum
run by Techarena - you are actually posting to a global Usenet Newsgroup.
Techarena forums leach off the Microsoft News Servers in order to make them
seem far busier than they really are. Those of us (the vast majority) who
use the MS News server rather than Techarena forums have NO IDEA what you
are talking about.

You will get a far better experience if you use a newsreader and subscribe
to these groups directly, rather than through TechArena.

If you must stay with TechArena then please follow Usenet custom by quoting
the post you are replying to, and replying to the thread.

Thank you.
