| Re: Strange Folder Many programs create a temporary folder where the installer unpacks files to. The install then continues from this temporary folder. When the installation has completed all temporary files and folders are usually deleted. Some programmers are a bit lax about this final step of the install sequence. As long as the install has completed to your satisfaction you can delete this folder. -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "C and A Bredt" <abredt_at-delete-this@socal.rr.com> wrote in message news:O3oT7M9uJHA.4364@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > Yes - I just deleted and reinstalled an HP 7250 All-in-One. | Re: Strange Folder Hi CB, As Richard Urban has pointed out 'some programmers area bit lax' If your printer is working Okay then you can delete the file. As to how did I know, well it wasn't the numbers between the { } that gave it away, it was nothing more complex than the Dot4. HP installs a number of printer drivers including Dot2 and Dot4. It did also help that I also have HP printers - well either that or my crystal ball finally started working again:-) At least you know the cause of the problem now -- John Barnett MVP Windows XP Associate Expert Windows Desktop Experience Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk Web: http://www.silversurfer-guide.com Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is".
