I am wondering how many arguing against Microsoft in this thread live
in countries that either have no intellectual property law or do not
enforce American intellectual property rights. And they probably have
never paid for software.

The irony.

Any reasonable mature person would know that it doesn't justify a person to
be a criminal simply because there are criminals out there.

Seeing the defense arguments presented by their loyal fanbois, no wonder
their product qualities are detoriating

I don't know, but I live in the USA where they do. I even follow them.

The point is pretty much irrelevant though, since a US court made the
ruling.

A serious assumption on your part.

Re: Microsoft Fined for stealing Activation Program.

Look plain and simple Microsoft infringed on a Patent from another company
and they got convicted and that is stealing which is basically called theft
so what do you all know and how can Microsoft say they knew nothing about
that is it great how when companies break the law and commit crimes when
they get caught no one now it was a crime or wrong basically very true.

Uh, no.

The irony is that MS has accused developers of Linux distro's and Linux s/w
of infringing on like 100 and some patents that MS claims they own.

And then, they go out and do the same thing. (Allegedly.)

This has nothing to do with who lives where, it's the pot calling the
kettle black, and a 100 other cliche's.

The whole patent thing, and IP, is waaaaaay out of hand. And unfortunately,
with the state of the legal system in the US, it's usually *much* less
expensive to just settle and pay them, than it is to fight and be
vindicated. I'm sure it isn't what the 'founding fathers' had in mind.
