| Installing Screen Savers I downloaded a screen saver and installed it but it's not in the drop down menu so I can't select it. I've tried to move it to the system 32 folder and the wow64 (?) folder but it still doesn't show up. What am I missing? I'm running vista 64 bit. thanks for any help anyone can give. |

| Re: Installing Screen Savers Thank you for the information! I tried to reinstall it again and make sure it was in the Windows file this time and it works! I think it was going into the wrong folder. Thanks so much! Emily "Brink" wrote: [color=blue] > > Hello Emily, > > You might see if the information in the Warning box at the link below > may help. I went to the website, clicked on the download trial version of 3d Matrix and a download dialog box appeared asking 'Do you want to run or save this file?' I click on 'Save' and select save to Desktop. When it has finished downloading I double-click the Matrix3DSetup.exe file and it installs ok. I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit. How are you installing it ? |

If you have Vista 64 bit file locations might be different but I can't check as I don't have a 64 bit box. The 3d Matrix Screen saver installs the screensaver file UC3D.scr into: C:\Windows\System32 That is where the other screensavers are stored. When you select the dropdown box to choose a different screensaver that is the location. If you are not seeing the 3d Matrix screensaver in that box then it looks like it has been installed somewhere else on your machine. Run a search for 'uc3d.scr' and see if you can see where it has been installed. |
