I want to be able to create a new bitmap...

when I right-click on the screen (you know, like windows has always had).
Anyway, bitmap ain't there (on mine, anyway- photoshop image shows up after
installing ps, but no bitmap).
I tried editing the registry (I found a 'shellnew' string that contains all
the items I can create now, and tried editing that, but it reverts back to the
way it is now. I'm assuming there's a higher-up string that may need to be
edited, or that there's a menu some where that needs to be edited to get that
sub-string to accept the change)
I can't find a 'new item' edit of any sort anywhere...does anyone know what I
have to look for here?
TIA

You cold read this and see if it helps:

Otherwise you will probably have to wait for TweakUI for Vista.

If that didn't work, I think this can do it too:

I just noticed the 'Show in Exporer's New menu' button at the bottom, while
I was using it.
