Is there any way in Vista to resize a JPG?

I thought the mighty vista would comes with a simple image resize tool in
the photo gallary, which already has the ability to crop file / change
brightness or contrast....

thanks

Baron

When viewing the image in Photo Gallery, select Open/Paint from the Toolbar.
This will open the current image in MS Paint and you can perform the resize
from there.

Re: Is there any way in Vista to resize a JPG?

I think most versions of vista come with the Office Picture Manager? I know
my beta 2 ultimate did, I have office on it now and I know that is part of
office. Picture Manager will resize photos real easy!

Re: Is there any way in Vista to resize a JPG?

I like VSO image resizer. Although, it no longer puts an option
in the right-click context menu. You can use "Open with">"Chose Default Program"
to find imageresizer and then it will be included in the "Open With" list from
then on. Just be sure to uncheck "Always use" or it will change your default
program used to display your pics.

VSO Image Resizer

Mainly for batch conversions, but still useful.

That's good to know. Don't know why it's not in mine.

Re: Is there any way in Vista to resize a JPG?

It does show up when right-clicking folders, but doesn't show when
right-clicking an individual image.

Re: Is there any way in Vista to resize a JPG?

I
n XP I use the Microsoft Image Resizer Power tool. It is nice and easy
tool to use and works well with multiple pictures.

I wish they would have included it in Vista. The XP version will not
install :-(
