Creative Audigy Sound Cards- Vista RTM I am warned on a daily basis that my Creative Sound Card driver will timeout on Jan 12. What happens then? i.e. when will the replacement be available and what do I do for sound in the meantime?

RE: Creative Audigy Sound Cards- Vista RTM This Question is Creative specific, but i got the same driver. It will stop working and we will have to uninstall it on that day. I guess they are planning a driver release that day. BUT! I suggest you do use the WinXP Driver until that, because the Vista Driver has some trouble with 5.1 Sound !!

Re: Creative Audigy Sound Cards- Vista RTM - 5.1 sound problem I am currently struggling with this 5.1 sound problem. I just put together a new system that includes an Intel DP965LT mobo with 5.1 HD Audio, and I've gone round in circles, unable to get both, 1) the audio functioning correctly and 2) the microphone recognized, at the same time. It seems I can have my microphone recognized (for use with Skype) but my sound horribly garbled, or I can have nice sound but no recognition of the existence of my microphone. I'm going round in circles and wondering what to do . . . sofamensch wrote: <snip>[color=blue] > BUT! So maybe it's close. -- Rock [MVP - User/Shell]
