Windows Updates

Windows Update has downloaded some updates that I don't want to install.
How can I get rid of them so I'm not always reminded. They have tried to
install and failed but they must be on my hard drive somewhere and I'd like
to delete them and change my update options.

Pat

Re: Windows Updates

Pat

What error and what Updates are we talking about here Pat. Can you post the error
along with the error number and possibly someone can help you. On to the next below

If they failed to install then they are not on your Hard Drive. Usual or should I
say when they are downloading they download to a tmp file and they are removed upon
installation or a failed installation.
To not to see the prompts for downloading the Updates that you do not want then open
Windows Update and let it scan. When those Updates show then expand the Update by
clicking on the + sign and put a checkmark on the bottom that say's "Do not show
this Update again"
