How was Vista installed on the machine? Was it pre-installed by the
computer manufacture?

You mean you used the manufacturer's restore disc to re-install the O/S.
There seems to be something wrong with the restore/reinstall if nothing
is showing in Programs and Features - Windows Components.

You should be able to contact the manufacturer's tech support and get
help from them concerning the issue, because really, there is nothing
anyone here can do about this issue you're having to help you.

Yes, I've reinstalled system from genuine manufacturer's Vista Business DVD.
(Dell Latitude D630). I'm not sure if problem started just after reinstall
or later during using machine, but I'm pretty sure that there is no point to
contact Dell,
because busted is system not hardware.
For now doesn't care me this feature, but I need enable .NET 3, which should
be possible from command line.
I ask my question on MS moderated news group, and maybe any MS engineer will
be abel to help me.

PS
Sorry that I've clicked that your previous post was helpful, I did it
accidentally.

There is no command line anything that is going to get .Net 3.5
installed or activated. You have a problem with the install DVD or the
install of Vista.

Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 is a part of system Windows Vista Business, so
if not from command line, maybe from registry I can enable this feature?

Likely the manufacturer has integrated their OWN feature menu and
deactivated the original. If so, and you "get rid of all the junk" as many
do, you may have inadvertently caused the problem yourself.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for your answer. Indeed I've installed Vista from Dell DVD and
haven't install any of Dell's junk, so now I know that I should contact
Dell's support.
Thanks.

I tell that lunatic the same thing, and the *clown* tosses it back in my
face. There is something wrong with that person.
