Hi

I get the following error when trying to run windows update

Windows Update with Windows Ultimate Extras
Windows could not search for new updates
Erros Found:
Code: 80070490 Windows Update encountered an unknown error

Have done the following so far:
Stopped windows update and bit transfer service deleted
c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution
restarted above.
the c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution is recreated etc..

Still get the above error when using Windows update services.

work, or Windows Vista may stop responding
