| What is the command line command for unzipping files? On a stock Vista box we need to be able to extract files from a zip file from a command line batch script. I can't seem to find a command for this. I know unzipping is built in because we can just double click on it and get access to the files. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, jim |

| Re: What is the command line command for unzipping files? Hi, Don't know how useful this will be, but you may want to read this thread: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=692917&SiteID=1 Basically, there is no command line to use. The unzipping is a function of zipfldr.dll, so would use regsvr32.exe to invoke it, and as far as I know there are no arguements you can add to it for unzipping via batch file. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Jim H" <jimh@nospam.nospam> wrote in message news:Ot1RXCWVJHA.2512@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > On a stock Vista box we need to be able to extract files from a zip file > from a command line batch script. Add it to a folder that you have added to your PATH - I use C:\WINDOWS\~command - or you can just put it in your system32 folder. http://www.7-zip.org/download.html ss. |
