| G15 Keyboard USB HID Error Hello, I've been having issues with a Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard V1. V1 as in the one with the flip LCD screen and blue backlight. When I plug it nothing on the keyboard turns on. Backlight, LCD screen, nothing. I've plugged it in every USB port. I've tried it on another computer and it turns on. I have the newest driver software from Logitech for this keyboard and when it is connected it ask for driver and sometimes a CD. Although i don't have the CD anymore. I get the following error, "Windows found driver software for your device but incountered an error while attempting to install it. USB HID [Human Interface Device] The system cannot find the file specified." The only thing I have really tried was uninstalling the USB Root Hub's. All that did was prompt me for the CD now. Although I don't have the CD anymore. So I do a search in my downloads folder which contains the driver and I get the error stated above. In Device Manager under Other Devices I get, G15 Keyboard & Logitech Gaming Keyboard both with a triangular yellow exclamation point. When I check properties it says Code 28 which is for drivers even though they are already installed. Running Windows Vista Home Premium. My computer is also up-to-date. Its an eMachines W5243. -- BassEXE ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BassEXE's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/bassexe.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/1074081.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

| Re: G15 Keyboard USB HID Error So go to the manufacturer's website and see if they have a vista compatible driver for it, download it, install it or burn it to CD. Then, if it asks for a cd, you'll have it. | Re: G15 Keyboard USB HID Error Well now that I looked more into it the drivers are only for the LCD screen on the keyboard. Other says that any keyboard should be able to do basic functions although mine can't even do that. Any ideas why? Only my PS/2 keyboard works but USB keyboard won't work. Maybe anything having to do with the INF files?
