| RE: dialer.exe I am having the same problem with version 6.0 Build 6001: Service Pack 1 running on Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 (i.e. 2nd and 3rd digits of the area code are lost; 231-456-7890 becomes 2-456-7890). This happens regardless of the dialing rule settings (e.g. disable call waiting, dial full area code, dial 1, etc.). It happens when faxing using Windows unless the setting is used to dial the number exactly as entered and skip checking/applying dialing rules. I did not have this problem using the Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 version of dialer.exe. I wonder what changed to cause it to drop the 2nd and 3rd digits of the area code. Very frustrating! "pbpapa" wrote: [color=blue] > I have used this program to dial my land line phone, using a Lotus Smart > Center phonebook and later the dialer.exe phonebook, since windows 95.
