Office 2003 SP3 Update??? I am running Office 2007

Hi

I built a new PC today. Running Vista Home Premium and brand new copy of
Office 2007. All Brand new, both the OS and Office application.

Windows Update tells me now that I should be downloading an Important Update
for Office 2003 (SP3)....WHY???

I have installed NO viewers of any description...no Visio viewer etc...

Any thoughts?

Rgds

Are you using any old Expression Studio product (such ver 1.0 of Web,
Blend etc)
or
Visual Studio 2005 or SP1

Re: Office 2003 SP3 Update??? I am running Office 2007

HI Ramesh

no...nothing. As mentioned, clean install of Vista Home Premium and Office
2007 PROFessional. Nothing else on PC apart from Printer driver (HP) and all
Windows Updates (SP1 and a heap of hotfixes and security updates) and Office
Updates (SP1 for Office 2007 and some hotfixes)....

Odd I think....! I can see no reason for an Office 2003 Update as being an
IMPORTAN T update.

I guess it's time to look at all your installed updates. If it
did/didn't get installed, then you don't have a problem.

I think it's time for you to take this to

microsoft.public.windowsupdate

or to

microsoft.public.office.misc

You aren't getting anywhere here.
