Hi, Why is it that newsgroups will not remember my name and password when I
want to sign in? The button is checked. All of my other programs "save" it
when prompted but this one will not. Isn't this kind of ironic? I was
hoping an "MVP" could answer this.

This machine was doing that same thing. It worked fine for a couple days
then started that. Several people offered idea's. The first "work around" I
found was loading News.motzarella.org. For some reason Windows mail would
work with it, even when the feed from my ISP would not, so I could ask for
help and read the responses. It is a little slower, but worked. One person
said this was an anti virus problem. Mentioned some fixes. I use AVG free.
He said to delete it, re load it custom without the E-mail scanning. I did
this and the feed came back and stopped asking for my log in and password
over and over. It did still do it now and then, but it got rare. I then went
and took all of the available up dates, and it has not happened again since.
Not sure if this is what "fixed" it or not, but it was a problem a lot of
Vista users were having for a while. Hope this helps.
