| Re: I broke my registry, I think... I left you a post in your original thread. If you can't get access to you CD-drives, that my be a problem. Have you checked you "Boot-Rom" configuration? If not, you can do so. When you turn on your computer, read the bottom of the screen. You're looking for something like this "Press <Key> to Enter Setup Mode". If you press it and miss, restart your computer and repeatedly press that key till ya get there. Some systems are the "Delete" or "F5" key. Then manipulate the menu to where you select to set settings to "Default" or "Factory" or whichever is the most related to normal operation for your computer. Also, set the "Boot" order to Boot from the CD-Drive First, Then the Hard-Drive. Save settings and exit to start the unit. Then try booting from your Vista CD to repair Your Vista Operating System. That should work. If it can't repair, it will RE-Install. Your Data WILL Still be on the HD so you can retrieve it, clean the drive, then re-install.
