Look for a solution here:

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.beta

It should be listed in the Control Panel/Programs and Features/Uninstall
list.
Don't forget to click on, View installed updates.

Hi All
I got fed-up with problems with Explorer 8 so i uninstalled it and
then went to the microsoft download site and re-installed Explorer 7 every
thing is now back to normal and ok

Sorry, you cannot reinstall internet explorer 7 on vista, since it is an
integral part of Vista, it cannot be removed or reinstalled.

You uninstalled IE8 Beta.
You went to Microsft and downloaded IE7!
What Browser did you use to get to Microsoft?
You'd uninstalled IE8!
