| HDMI Audio Hi I have a problem which is exactly like the one in this thread: Peterv50;180725 Wrote: > Just upgraded from windows media centre to vista home premium > since doing so I get no sound on my TV via the HDMI cable > sound is ok on the speaker outputs > > all drivers updated > (http://www.howtofixcomputers.com/forums/windows-vista-installation/hdmi-sound-problem-45294.html) The deal is, I watch videos on my laptop and at times on my TV through HDMI. Now, as I know it, whenever I need to watch on my TV and use the TV speakers, I have to go into Control Panel and change the Audio Settings to set the HDMI option as Default. Isn't there a way to have it change automatically? Or atleast have both enabled (Application outputs to both Speakers and HDMI)? Its a pain to have to do it manually each time. I believe its possible in Windows XP as a friend of mine doesn't need to make this change each time. He simply plugs in the HDMI cable and audio outputs to the TV. Uplugs it, and it goes through the Laptop Speakers. I'm using a Dell XPS M1330 running on Windows Vista Home Premium. |
