| All programs "Not Responding" Hi, I have a new Dell Latitude 830 laptop (4gb RAM, 120Gb HD) preinstalled with Vista Ultimate. I got the laptop and basically immediately starting installing SW on it (Office 2007, Acrobat 8, others) before I really used it a lot, so I'm not sure if this problem was out of the box or not. But basically any program I click on (IE, Office 2007, etc) launches, but goes into "Not Responding" mode for 20-30 seconds, then goes back to running normally. Even if I have Word open and running, and open a new document, it does the "not responding" think there as well. Everything seems to work, but it is very annoying. Anyone seen this, and have any advice for me? Thanks, Mike |

Work with it for a while, then slowly install each program, allowing time to see how things are going. | Re: All programs "Not Responding" If I had a dollar for every time I've seen "Not Responding" since I got a Vista system, I could probably buy out Bill Gates. I've gotten it from every last piece of software I own, including Vista's own features. If someone has a solution, I sure hope they post it.
