I recently bought the above mouse and installed it on my Quad Core Acer
machine running Vista Home Premium 64. Every once in a while both the
keyboard and mouse wouldn't respond to movement of the mouse and typing. I
did all of the standard stuff with installing and re-installing drivers,
replaced the batteries and just about everything else that I could think of
..... all to no avail.

I then got an idea and plugged the USB receiver into the USB port on my HP
monitor and all the problems went away! I then tried a USB extension and
plugged the receiver into that and it worked perfectly.

The problem must have been related to where the receiver was in relation to
the power supply. At least that is my theory.

Possibly the onboard USB controller has an issue however
its more likely you used a Non-powered Port on the computer.
If your machine has more than 4 USB ports then only 4 are
powered. Using the monitor's ports is like using a powered
USB Hub.

Thanks; I'm going to try that, too. I use the same wireless keyboard & mouse
and get the hesitations as well. Don't know if it will make a difference,
but it's worth a try! I wondered if it was because, for some reason, the
"business" part of the USB receiver seems to be facing away from the
keyboard et al, both when it's installed in the computer (which is on my
right, as I'm right handed) and when it's in the monitor slot. We'll see! I
do have a powered USB hub, and if I still have problems, might then go that
route.
