Forgive me if this sounds a tad patronising and/or an insult to your intelligence - but I figure that since it has happened to me and it took me a while to work it out, it's always a possibility. For no reason that I could figure out, a couple of times my system has gone quiet on me, and what had happened was that, for reasons unknown to me, the system had set the volume control to "mute". Have you tried clicking on the volume control to see if the system sounds are just muted? Regards, Bob -- Remove "x" from address to e-mail |
