| Cant find aero on list Hello All, Vista ultimate I have a p4 2.40 GHz I installed 1 Gig of ram I installed an ATI X1600 Directx 10 with 512MB I can't find Windows Aero on the list in step 2 1.. A window will appear, with a list of available themes in a drop-down menu, with corresponding illustrations below. The setting should be on "Vista Basic" as default. 2.. In the drop-down menu there is an option for "Windows Aero" 3.. Click it, then select Apply then OK and you're computer will be configured to Windows Vista Aero. Thanks Tony |

| Re: Cant find aero on list If you have Vista Basic edition, then you don't have the Aero feature, or any associated themes, I would have thought. As it says : Vista Basic, is minus all the bells and whistles. Aero's only available in the Ultimate and Premium editions, I think. Also, Vista is going to be quite slow with only 1GB of RAM, although that doesn't address why you have no Aero. Increase to at least 2GB if you can.
