or can someone send me theirs?

i tried a clean install of windows vista ultimate on my vista home premium
laptop.

i deleted the old partitions and set it to install
everything goes fine until "completing installation" when it says windows
cant configure some software

Even if your request were not nonsensical, someone else's backup would not
work on your machine. Restore your laptop to factory condition using the
method provided by the laptop mftr. for your specific model laptop. If you
neglected to create the restore disks, contact the company and purchase
physical restore media. This is normally not very expensive.

Are you kidding?

If you're serious, you should back away from your keyboard and never
return.

Go buy some crayons and see what you can do with those without hurting
yourself.
